Lindy Annis studied acting, dance and voice in New York City, earning a degree from N.Y.U.'s Experimental Theater Wing in 1982. She produces performance and theater works, acts as dramaturge and curator, as well as writing texts for the stage. Her current long-term series, The Body Archive, is a collection of performance, gallery and stage compositions focusing on emotional body gestures - their iconography, their evolution through time and their role in contemporary western society.
She is engaged in an extended artistic cooperation with the artist Antonia Baehr in the form of a recurring dramaturgical exchange.
